A physical and cultural bridge between Europe and Asia, the transcontinental city of Istanbul serves as a living reminder of the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman empires.
Suleymaniye Cami and Historic Areas of Istanbul will appeal to history buffs. Do some cultural sightseeing at Basilica Cistern and Kariye Museum (The Chora Church). The adventure continues: get engrossed in the history at Hagia Sophia Museum / Church (Ayasofya), explore the world behind art at Istanbul Modern, take in panoramic vistas at Galata Tower, and take a stroll through Ortakoy.

Get some cultural insight at Duomo di Orvieto and Piazza Navona. Visit Palatine Hill and Colosseum for their historical value.
