MatarĂ³ is the capital and largest town of the comarca of the Maresme, in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia Autonomous Community, Spain. Get out of town with these interesting Mataro side-trips: Buggyexperience (in Olost), Santuari Mare de Deu dels Munts (in Sant Agusti de Llucanes) and Monestir de Santa Maria de Lluca (in Lluca). There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Conjunto Barroco de "els Dolors", take in the architecture and atmosphere at Iglesia Santa Agnes de Malanyanes, enjoy breathtaking views from Torrassa del Moro, and examine the collection at Ruta Raspall.
