A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Eiffel Tower and Musee d'Orsay. Popular historic sites such as Champs-Elysees and Montmartre are in your itinerary. There's still lots to do: take a stroll through Île de la Cité, ponder the world of politics at Hotel de Ville, admire the landmark architecture of Arc de Triomphe, and pause for some serene contemplation at Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre.

Traveling from Manila in December, expect Paris to be much colder, temps between 9°C and 3°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 18th (Wed) so you can catch the train to Luxembourg City.

While Luxembourg City boasts the shiny headquarters of several European institutions and EU offices, it is also home to a beautiful old town that's designated as a World Heritage Site.
Le Chemin de la Corniche and Casemates du Bock are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Museum-lovers will appreciate National Museum of Art and History (Musee National d'Histoire et d'Art) and Mudam Luxembourg Modern Art Museum. Venture out of the city with trips to Vianden Castle (in Vianden), MNHM National Museum of Military History (in Diekirch) and Bourscheid Castle (in Bourscheid). There's still lots to do: hike along Mullerthal Trail, get engrossed in the history at Museum Drai Eechelen, engage your brain at Luxembourg Science Center, and stroll the grounds of Luxembourg American Cemetery Memorial.

You can take a train from Paris to Luxembourg City in 3 hours. Other options are to drive; or fly. When traveling from Paris in December, plan for a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Luxembourg City: temperatures range from 6°C by day to 1°C at night. You will have some time to spend on the 26th (Thu) before leaving for Berlin.

Geneva brings the world to one small city with a huge expat population and the highest number of international organizations in any one city.
Family-friendly places like Ski Service and Patek Philippe Museum will thrill your kids. Step out of the city life by going to Mont Saleve and Bains des Paquis.
