Thimphu is known for scenic drive, parks, and museums. Sydney, Australia to Thimphu is an approximately 16- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and car; or do a combination of bus and flight. The time zone difference moving from Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) to Bhutan Time (BTT) is minus 4 hours. Plan for somewhat warmer temperatures traveling from Sydney in August, with highs in Thimphu at 30°C and lows at 19°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Wed) early enough to drive to Paro.
