Arusha

Nestled in the verdant foothills of Mount Meru, Arusha remains the primary gateway and jump-off point for safaris into several national parks.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Mon): take a stroll through Arusha Village Experience, then examine the collection at Isle of Jewels, and then skim along the rocks with a canyoning and rapelling tour. On the 27th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: examine the collection at Cultural Heritage Centre, then relax and rejuvenate at Ai Care Spa, and then get outside with Kili Dreamers.

Colombo, Sri Lanka to Arusha is an approximately 21.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and shuttle; or fly. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2.5 hours traveling from Colombo to Arusha. Expect slightly colder weather when traveling from Colombo in July: highs in Arusha hover around 24°C, while lows dip to 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel to Serengeti National Park.

Serengeti National Park

Traveling by flight from Arusha to Serengeti National Park takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. You'll have a few hours on the 5th (Thu) to wrap things up before traveling to Zanzibar City.

Zanzibar City, Zanzibar Island

Fly from Serengeti National Park to Zanzibar City in 4.5 hours. In August in Zanzibar City, expect temperatures between 34°C during the day and 26°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 20th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
