Hengchun

Located on the southern tip of the eponymous peninsula, Hengchun serves as the entry point to Kenting National Park, often attracting more travelers than locals with its tropical beach resorts and bustling night markets.
National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium and Fu'an Temple are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Step off the beaten path and head to White Sand Bay and White Sand Bay. Spend the 17th (Thu) exploring nature at Kenting National Park. Next up on the itinerary: discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, kick back and relax at Shadao Ecological Reserve, tour the pleasant surroundings at Little Bay Beach, and head off the coast to Sand Island (Sa-Dau).

A small trading town in the 17th century, Kaohsiung now stands as a sprawling metropolis, its harbor representing the largest on the island.
National Museum of Taiwan History and Fo Guang Shan are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Head to Taroko Park and Freedom Sunset Marketfor some retail therapy. Get out of town with these interesting Kaohsiung side-trips: West Central District (National Museum of Taiwan Literature & Chihkan Tower (Fort Provintia)) and Xiao Liu Qiu (in Liuqiu). Step out of Magong to go to Xiyu and see Penghu Islands, which is approximately 34 minutes away.
