A global center of finance and transportation, Frankfurt is perhaps best known for its futuristic cityscape.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Frankfurt: Heidelberg (Altstadt (Old Town), Student Jail (Studentenkarzer), &more), Wurzburg (Neumuenster, W├╝rzburg Residence, &more) and Snow World (in Winterberg). There's much more to do: admire the striking features of Cologne Cathedral, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Johanniskirche, don't miss a visit to Romer, and walk around Lichtentaler Allee.
