Instead of Soviet buildings typical of Ukraine, Lviv boasts a charming Central European-style old town with World Heritage Site status.
Museum of Folk Architecture and Life and Beer Cultural Experience Center “Lvivarnya” will appeal to museum buffs. Your inner history buff will appreciate Dominican Cathedral and Olesko Castle. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Lviv: Pidhirtsi (Roman CatholicChurch of the Exaltation of St. Joseph & Pidhirtsi Castle). There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Church of St. Andrew, pause for some serene contemplation at Church of Sts. Olha and Elizabeth, explore the different monuments and memorials at Lychakiv Cemetery, and examine the collection at Arsenal Museum.

Step off the beaten path and head to Secrets of Underground Odessa Museum and Catacombs of Odessa.
