The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Toji and Chion-in Temple. Step out of Kyoto to go to Osaka and see Universal Studios Japan, which is approximately 1h 15 min away. And it doesn't end there: contemplate the long history of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kinkaku-ji, and step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle.

Oslo, Norway to Kyoto is an approximately 17-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly. Traveling from Oslo to Kyoto, you'll lose 8 hours due to the time zone difference. Onna-son

Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Scuba & Snorkeling and Minnajima Island. Get out of town with these interesting Onna-son side-trips: Motobu-cho (Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium & Okichan Theater), Sefa-Utaki (in Nanjo) and Stand-Up Paddleboarding (in Nago).
