Gateway to the Highlands

Inverness, often described as the Gateway to the Highlands, is a thriving commercial and industrial center.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Inverness: Aviemore (Loch an Eilein, Thunder in the glens, &more), Embo Beach (in Embo) and Landmark Forest Adventure Park (in Carrbridge). Fort William

Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Fort William: Oban (Finn Falconry & Oban Distillery), Morar (Morar Beach & The Morar Cross) and Camusdarach Beach (in Arisaig). Glencoe or Glencoe Village is the main settlement in Glen Coe in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands. Explore Glencoe's surroundings by going to The Lighthouse - Appin Craft Shop (in Appin), Loch Eck (in Loch Eck) and Puck's Glen (in Benmore).
