Developed as an upper-middle class tourist town in the northern part of Okinawa Island, Nago offers a wide range of leisure activities from swimming to exploration of ruins and rainforests.
Do your shopping at Nago Pineapple Park and Aeon Nago Shopping Center. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Scuba & Snorkeling and Nakijin Castle Ruins. Change things up with these side-trips from Nago: Motobu-cho (Bisezaki, Oceanic Culture Museum, &more) and Akabaka Beach (in Nakijin-son). You can do a combination of ferry and flight from Taketomi-jima to Nago in 6.5 hours. Traveling from Taketomi-jima in November, Nago is little chillier at night with lows of 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Thu) so you can drive to Chatan-cho.

Onna-son

Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
You've now added Ryukyu Mura to your itinerary. Visit Zakimi Castle Ruins and Nakadomari Ruins for their historical value.
