Get out of town with these interesting Byron Bay side-trips: Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre (in Murwillumbah), Watersports Guru (in Kingscliff) and Turners Beach (in Yamba). There's lots more to do: visit a coastal fixture at Cape Byron Lighthouse, glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, head outdoors with Getaway Girls, and take a leisurely stroll along Ballina Historic Waterfront Trail.
