Tokyo is known for historic sites, shopping, parks, museums, and nightlife. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: don't miss a visit to Meiji Jingu Shrine, ponder the world of politics at Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings, stroll through Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, and admire the striking features of Imperial Palace.

Brasilia, Brazil to Tokyo is an approximately 28-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 12 hours traveling from Brasilia to Tokyo. Prepare for colder weather when traveling from Brasilia in March: high temperatures in Tokyo hover around 17°C and lows are around 7°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sun) so you can catch the train to Kanazawa.

An old castle town largely unspoiled during World War II, Kanazawa features well-preserved architecture spread across a range of districts.
Get out of town with these interesting Kanazawa side-trips: Shirakawa-mura (The Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go Gassho Style Houses, Nagase house, & more). There's lots more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Kenrokuen Garden, take in the spiritual surroundings of Ninja Temple, contemplate the long history of Nomura Family Samurai House, and make a trip to Omicho Market.

You can take a train from Tokyo to Kanazawa in 2.5 hours. Other options are to fly; or drive. Traveling from Tokyo in March, expect Kanazawa to be slightly colder, temps between 13°C and 3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Wed) early enough to travel to Fukuoka.

The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.
Venture out of the city with trips to Huis Ten Bosch (in Sasebo), Nagasaki (Nagasaki Peace Park, Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, & more) and Kumamoto (KUMAMON products Nagataniya, Kumamoto Castle, & more). There's lots more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Dazaifu Temmangu, admire the natural beauty at Komyozen-ji Temple, let little ones run wild at Ohori Park, and explore the world behind art at Fukuoka Asian Art Museum.

Prepare for a bit warmer weather when traveling from Kanazawa in March: high temperatures in Fukuoka hover around 17°C and lows are around 7°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Sun) to allow time to take a train to Hiroshima.
