At the northern extreme of the Red Sea sits Eilat, a resort town popular with domestic and international tourists.
Step off the beaten path and head to Princess Beach and Red Canyon. Head to Eilat Wines and Mall Hayamfor some retail therapy. There's lots more to do: explore the gorgeous colors at Dolphin Reef, get a dose of the wild on Eilat Action, meet the residents at Underwater Observatory Marine Park, and stop by King Solomon Promanade.

Tel Aviv to Eilat is an approximately 1-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. When traveling from Tel Aviv in October, plan for somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Eilat: temperatures range from 39°C by day to 25°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Thu) to allow time to drive to Mitspe Ramon.

Founded in 1951, the small desert town of Mitspe Ramon overlooks the Ramon Crater, a massive 40 km (24 mi) long dip in the Negev desert, created by erosion and notable for its interesting rock formations.
Do your shopping at Faran Natural Cosmetic and Hadasaar Natural Living. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at The Alpaca Farm and Avdat National Park. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Mitspe Ramon: Vidor Center - A window to Arava agriculture (in Hazeva) and Carmey Avdat (in Sde Boker). Traveling by train from Tel Aviv to Haifa takes an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In November, daily temperatures in Haifa can reach 28°C, while at night they dip to 19°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Safed.
