Popular historic sites such as Lighthouse of Chania and Church of St. George are in your itinerary. St. Nicholas Church and Archaeological Site of Ancient Aptera are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Chania Town: Rethymnon (Monastery of Arkadi & Old Venetian Harbour of Rethymno) and Falassarna Beach (in Falassarna).
