Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
On the 16th (Fri), don't miss a visit to Promenade des Anglais and then don't miss a visit to Le Nomade. On the next day, wander the streets of Vieille Ville, take some stellar pictures from Colline du Chateau overlook, then make a trip to Place Massena, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cathedrale Saint-Nicolas a Nice.

You can do a combination of train and flight from Beaune to Nice in 5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a train. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Beaune in October: high temperatures in Nice hover around 24°C and lows are around 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel to Sarlat-la-Caneda.
