Getting from Athens to Rome by flight takes about 6 hours. Other options: do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train, bus, and ferry. The time zone changes from Eastern European Standard Time (EET) to Central European Standard Time (CET), which is usually a -1 hour difference. Traveling from Athens in May, expect little chillier with lows of 58°F in Rome. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Tue) early enough to catch the train to Florence.
