Hengchun

Located on the southern tip of the eponymous peninsula, Hengchun serves as the entry point to Kenting National Park, often attracting more travelers than locals with its tropical beach resorts and bustling night markets.
Kids will enjoy Fu'an Temple and Shadao Ecological Reserve. And it doesn't end there: stroll through White Sand Bay, make a trip to Feng Chui Sha, kick back and relax at Dawan Kenting Beach Park, and examine the collection at National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium.

Singapore, Singapore to Hengchun is an approximately 9.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. Traveling from Singapore in December, expect Hengchun to be little chillier, temps between 29°C and 20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Hualien.

Attractions like Chishingtan Scenic Area and Yun Shan Shuei Ecological Farm make great kid-friendly stops. Venture out of the city with trips to Taitung Brown's Road (in Chishang) and Sanxiantai (in Chenggong Township).

You can drive from Hengchun to Hualien in 4.5 hours. Another option is to do a combination of bus and train. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 13th (Sun) so you can catch the train to Taipei.

Situated in a basin between two mountain ranges, Taipei appeals to tourists with its blend of Asian cultures, living side by side amidst Japanese-era mansions and Taoist temples.
Kids will enjoy National Palace Museum and Waiao Beach. Head to Taipei 101 and Wang Rui Zhen Tea Housefor some retail therapy. Venture out of the city with trips to Su'ao (Navy Beifang'ao Jinan Temple & Neipi Beach), Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street) (in Ruifang) and Leofoo Village Theme Park (in Guanxi). There's still lots to do: take a stroll through Ximending, cool off at Xing Fu Water Park, get to know the resident critters at Taipei Zoo, and don't miss a visit to Elephant Mountain (aka Nangang District Hiking Trail).

Getting from Hualien to Taipei by train takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of bus and train. In December, daytime highs in Taipei are 23°C, while nighttime lows are 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Fri) so you can drive to Nantou.

Do your shopping at Mark Taiwan and National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute. Bring the kids along to Sun Moon Lake and National Museum of Natural Science. You can drive from Taipei to Nantou in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and bus; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 24°C in December, and nighttime lows around 15°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Wed) early enough to travel to Magong.

Magong

Most visitors take a trip to Magong to see Penghu's iconic landmark, the famed Tianhou Gong Mazu temple, honoring the Chinese sea goddess and dating back to the 16th century.
On the 24th (Thu), take an in-depth tour of Yu-Sheng Chang Memorial Museum, then don't miss a visit to Guanyin Buddhist Temple, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Penghu Tianhou Temple, and finally don't miss a visit to Sih Yan Jing. Here are some ideas for day two: get engrossed in the history at Penghu Fossil Museum, explore the fascinating underground world of Fong Guei Dong, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Shanshui Beach, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Serpent Head Mountain, and finally don't miss a visit to Cimeiyu.

Getting from Nantou to Magong by combination of bus, train, taxi, and flight takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of bus, train, subway, and flight. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 25th (Fri) so you can travel to Sandimen.

Sandimen

Sandimen Township is a mountain indigenous township in Pingtung County, Taiwan. Your day by day itinerary now includes Pingtung Sai Jia Paragliding site. Kick off your visit on the 26th (Sat): get in on the family fun at Da Lu Guan Theme Park, contemplate the long history of Taiwan Aboriginal Culture Park, then snap pictures at Shanchuan Glass Bridge, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Wan Jin Church.
