Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Lima is known for historic sites, parks, and museums. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: take an in-depth tour of Museo Larco, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco, take a stroll through Barranco, and stroll around Circuito Magico Del Agua.

Buenos Aires, Argentina to Lima is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone changes from Argentine Time to Peru Time, which is usually a -2 hour difference. Plan for somewhat warmer temperatures traveling from Buenos Aires in mayo, with highs in Lima at 26°C and lows at 21°C. A port town largely devoted to tourism, Paracas serves as a popular starting point for exploration of Peru's south coast.
Go for a jaunt from Paracas to Pisco to see Ballestas Islands about 40 minutes away. The adventure continues: step off the mainland to explore Islas Ballestas, fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour, tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa de la Mina, and contemplate the waterfront views at La Catedral.
