If you are flying in from Chile, the closest major airports are Tokyo Haneda International Airport, Narita International Airport and Hyakuri Airport. August in Tokyo sees daily highs of 36°C and lows of 28°C at night. On the 30th (Fri), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Kanazawa.

Start off your visit on the 30th (Fri): look for gifts at Lacquer Ware Nosaku, don't miss a visit to Kanazawa Higashi Chayagai Kaikaro, steep yourself in history at Higashichaya Old Town, then contemplate the long history of Shima, and finally admire the masterpieces at 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: get outside with Chirihama Nagisa Driveway, enjoy the sand and surf at Gongenmori Beach, indulge your thirst for a good beer at Yachiya Sake Brewery, then admire the landmark architecture of Kanazawa Station, then make a trip to Omicho Market, and finally examine the collection at Ishikawa Prefectural Museum for Traditional Products and Crafts.

Traveling by train from Tokyo to Kanazawa takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. In August, plan for daily highs up to 35°C, and evening lows to 27°C. You will have some time to spend on the 1st (Sun) before leaving for Kyoto.

Traveling by train from Kanazawa to Kyoto takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 33°C in September, and nighttime lows around 23°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 5th (Thu) to allow enough time to take a train to Hiroshima.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Sun): see the interesting displays at Busan Museum. Keep things going the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Beomeosa Temple, enjoy the sea views from Yeongdo Lighthouse, take some stellar pictures from Taejongdae, then make a trip to BIFF Square, then hunt for treasures at Jagalchi Market, and finally stroll through Yongdusan Park.

You can do a combination of train and flight from Hiroshima to Busan in 4 hours. Other options are to do a combination of train and ferry; or do a combination of car and ferry. In September in Busan, expect temperatures between 30°C during the day and 21°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 10th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel to Seoul.

You can fly from Seoul to Taipei in 5.5 hours. The time zone difference when traveling from Seoul to Taipei is minus 1 hour. Traveling from Seoul in September, expect Taipei to be a bit warmer, temps between 38°C and 30°C. You'll have a few hours on the 19th (Thu) to wrap things up before traveling home.
