Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Salamanca Arts Centre and Nutpatch Handmade Fine Chocolate. Step out of the city life by going to Seven Mile Beach and Long Beach. Step out of Hobart with an excursion to Raptor Refuge in Kettering--about 40 minutes away.
