Bring the kids along to Mirabell Palace and Salzburg Museum. Get a sense of the local culture at Fortress Hohensalzburg and Mozart-Wohnhaus. Get out of town with these interesting Salzburg side-trips: Gollinger Wasserfall (in Golling an der Salzach) and Eisriesenwelt (in Werfenweng).
