Capital of the Inca Empire for three centuries, World Heritage-listed Cusco is now a major tourist destination, drawing nearly 2 million annual tourists with its well-preserved colonial architecture and proximity to Machu Picchu.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Moray and Tipon. Popular historic sites such as San Pedro Apostol de Andahuaylillas and Q'enqo are in your itinerary. Step out of Cusco to go to Huarcapay and see Piquillacta, which is approximately 48 minutes away. The adventure continues: explore the striking landscape at Cerro Colorado Vinicunca and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

You can do a combination of train and bus from Machu Picchu to Cusco in 3.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or drive. In October, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 7°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Sat) so you can travel to Ushuaia.

Often called the "End of the World" because of its position on the southernmost tip of South America, the expanding city of Ushuaia serves as both a busy commercial port and attractive tourist hub.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Faro de San Juan de Salvamento and Estancia Harberton. Step off the beaten path and head to Lago Roca and Ushuaia Bay. Take a break from Ushuaia with a short trip to Parroquia Sagrada Familia in Tolhuin, about 1h 25 min away. The adventure continues: take in the awesome beauty at Glaciar Martial, take in the dramatic natural features at Glaciar Vinciguerra, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Iglesia parroquial de Ushuaia, and head off the coast to Isla de Los Pajaros.

One of the island of Tinhare's five villages, Morro de Sao Paulo stands as an old, charming settlement, with plenty of natural attractions and all the facilities to make visitors feel at home.
