Spean Bridge is a village in the parish of Kilmonivaig, in the Highland region of Scotland.The village takes its name from the Highbridge over the River Spean on General Wade's military road between Fort William and Fort Augustus, and not from Telford's bridge of 1819 which carries the A82 over the river at the heart of the village.Lying in the Great Glen, Spean Bridge has transport links north towards Inverness and south to Fort William, provided by the A82, and the A86 heads east to join the A9 at Kingussie. Start off your visit on the 9th (Tue): stop by Highland Soaps, look for gifts at The Granite House, and then stay fit while traveling at Three Wise Monkeys Climbing. Keep things going the next day: play a few rounds at Fort Augustus Golf Club, contemplate the long history of Fort Augustus, then stop by Iceberg Glass, and finally take a memorable drive along General Wade’s Military Roads.

Gairloch is a village, civil parish and community on the shores of Loch Gairloch in Wester Ross, in the North-West Highlands of Scotland. Do your shopping at Perfume Studio and The Captain's Cabin. Get out of town with these interesting Gairloch side-trips: The Lochcarron Weavers Shop (in Lochcarron), Ullapool (Lael Crafts Gallery and coffee stop & Made in Ullapool) and All The Goodness (in Ardelve).
