Monument Valley
— 23 nights
Monument Valley is a region of the Colorado Plateau characterized by a cluster of vast sandstone buttes, the largest reaching 1000ft above the valley floor. Get outdoors at Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park and Horseback Riding Tours. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Moki Dugway and Muley Point Overlook. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Monument Valley: Elephant's Feet (in Tonalea Coconino County), Cataract Canyon (in Canyonlands National Park) and Shonto (Navajo National Monument & Keet Seel Navajo National Monument). Spend the 16th (Wed) exploring nature at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Spend the 17th (Thu) among the memorable landscape of Natural Bridges National Monument. There's still lots to do: trek along Wildcat Trail, explore the striking landscape at Comb Ridge, admire all the interesting features of Utah State Route 95, and walk around Sandstone Tours.
