The striking town of Orvieto, perched on a volcanic cliff overlooking the Umbrian countryside, is known as the Green Heart of Italy.
On the 17th (Fri), contemplate the long history of Duomo di Orvieto, then do a tasting at Fattoria Madonna delle Macchie, then take a stroll through Borgo Roccalvecce, and finally take a stroll through Civita di Bagnoregio. On the next day, make a trip to Pozzo di San Patrizio, examine the collection at Musei del Castello di Alviano, then see the interesting displays at Bartolomei Al Vecchio Frantoio dei F.Lli Bartolomei, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chiesa dei SS. Apostoli Pietro e Paolo.
