Gateway to the World

As the country's biggest port and one of the busiest in all of Europe, Hamburg has a well-deserved reputation as Germany's Gateway to the World.
Kick off your visit on the 16th (Mon): browse the exhibits of Miniatur Wunderland, then steep yourself in history at Alter Elbtunnel, and then wander the streets of Alster. On your second day here, take in nature's colorful creations at Planten un Blomen, then make a trip to Townhall, then take a leisurely stroll along Harbor Piers, and finally get to know the fascinating history of Speicherstadt.
