Daegu

— 23 nights
The fourth-largest city in South Korea, Daegu sprawls out across a wide, flat valley overlooked by a sacred Buddhist mountain.
Explore Daegu's surroundings by going to Haeinsa (in Hapcheon-Gun), Gyeongju (Seokguram, Bulguksa Temple, &more) and Goryeong-gun (Goryeong Daegaya Historic Site & Daegaya Museum). Spend the 9th (Sun) exploring nature at Gayasan National Park. There's lots more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Donghwasa, browse the eclectic array of goods at Seomun Market, walk around Apsan Park, and identify plant and animal life at Upo Wetland.
