Step off the beaten path and head to Gornergrat and Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Zermatt: Chateau de Chillon (in Veytaux), Freddie Mercury Statue (in Montreux) and Ice Pavilion (in Saas-Fee).
