You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Toi and Aeon Mall Miyazaki. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Miyazaki: Hyuga (Hyugasaki Umagase & Omi Shrine). You can fly from Osaka to Miyazaki in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. Traveling from Osaka in February, things will get somewhat warmer in Miyazaki: highs are around 15°C and lows about 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Fri) early enough to travel to Fukuoka.

The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.

Fly from Miyazaki to Fukuoka in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. When traveling from Miyazaki in February, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Fukuoka: temperatures range from 12°C by day to 3°C at night. You'll have a few hours on the 11th (Tue) to wrap things up before traveling to Fujiyoshida.
