Lyon is a historical city with a vibrant cultural scene as the birthplace of cinema, the silk capital of the globe, and the second biggest Renaissance city following Venice.
Visit Vieux Lyon and Eglise Saint Nizier for their historical value. You'll explore and learn at Musee Miniature et Cinema and Hameau Duboeuf. When in Lyon, make a side trip to see Labyland in Haute-Rivoire, approximately Haute-Rivoire away. And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Fresque des Lyonnais, stroll around Parc de la Tete d'Or, admire the landmark architecture of Basilique Notre Dame de Fourviere, and take a stroll through Place des Jacobins.

Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt to Lyon is an approximately 10.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of car and ferry. The time zone difference moving from Eastern European Standard Time to Central European Standard Time is minus 1 hour. Traveling from Sharm El Sheikh in December, expect Lyon to be colder, temps between 9°C and 1°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Fri) so you can drive to Anse.

Alpine Capital of the World

"Situated near the massive peaks of the Aiguilles Rouges and, most notably, the Aiguille du Midi, Chamonix is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and known as the Alpine Capital of the World.
On the 18th (Mon), look for all kinds of wild species at Aiguilles Rouges and then admire the masterpieces at Musee Alpin. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 19th (Tue): take in the awesome beauty at Aiguille des Grands Montets, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Eglise Saint-Jean Baptiste, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Eglise Saint-Nicolas de Combloux, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Eglise Notre-Dame de Toute Grace.
