Known as one of the greatest small cities in the world, Amsterdam charms visitors with its cool and cozy atmosphere.
Anne Frank House and Museum Het Rembrandthuis (Rembrandt House) are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Head to Leidseplein and The Mauritshuis Royal Picture Galleryfor some retail therapy. There's still lots to do: admire the masterpieces at Van Gogh Museum, take a stroll through De 9 Straatjes, and get to know the fascinating history of Begijnhof.

Jakarta, Indonesia to Amsterdam is an approximately 18-hour combination of bus and flight. You can also do a combination of bus, flight, and train. You'll gain 6 hours traveling from Jakarta to Amsterdam due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Jakarta in December, expect Amsterdam to be much colder, temps between 9°C and 3°C.
