Tokyo

Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Go for a jaunt from Tokyo to Maihama to see Tokyo DisneySea about 30 minutes away. There's still lots to do: admire the natural beauty at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, stroll around Ueno Park, don't miss a visit to Meiji Jingu Shrine, and take in panoramic vistas at Tokyo Skytree.

Asuncion, Paraguay to Tokyo is an approximately 28-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 13 hours traveling from Asuncion to Tokyo. Traveling from Asuncion in April, expect Tokyo to be a bit cooler, temps between 22°C and 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Tue) early enough to fly to Kyoto.

Kyoto

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Kyoto is known for historic sites, shopping, and classes. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: take in the spiritual surroundings of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, contemplate the long history of Sanjusangendo Temple, and take a stroll through Gion.

Traveling by flight from Tokyo to Kyoto takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. In April, plan for daily highs up to 22°C, and evening lows to 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Sun) early enough to take a train to Osaka.

Osaka

Proud of their hometown's distinct culture and dialect, many natives of Osaka describe their city as "Japan's anti-capital." An antidote to Tokyo's hectic energy, Osaka marches to the beat of its own drum, serving as the country's longtime commercial and industrial hub.
Venture out of the city with trips to Koya-cho (Koyasan Okunoin & Mt. Koya) and Himeji (Tenku no Shirasagi, Himeji Castle, &more). There's still lots to do: step into the grandiose world of Osaka Castle, stroll around Kemasakuranomiya Park, take a stroll through Dotombori District, and find something for the whole family at Universal Studios Japan.

You can take a train from Kyoto to Osaka in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. April in Osaka sees daily highs of 23°C and lows of 12°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Thu) to allow enough time to take a train to Hiroshima.
