Dammam, Saudi Arabia to Busan is an approximately 19-hour combination of flight and car. You can also fly; or drive. The time zone difference when traveling from Dammam to Busan is 6 hours. In May, Busan is much colder than Dammam - with highs of 28°C and lows of 16°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Gyeongju.

Gyeongju

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 13th (Fri), contemplate the long history of Bulguksa Temple and then pause for some photo ops at Seokguram. Keep things going the next day: examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum and then explore the activities along Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond.

Drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Expect slightly colder weather when traveling from Busan in May: highs in Gyeongju hover around 18°C, while lows dip to 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Sat) so you can drive to Andong.

Andong

Sitting along either side of the Nakdong River, Andong maintains an unrivalled reputation as a center for Korean folk and cultural heritage.
Explore Andong's surroundings by going to Yeongju (Sosuseowon Confucian Academy & Buseoksa Temple), Juwangsan National Park (in Cheongsong-gun) and Cheongnyangsa Temple (in Bonghwa-gun). The adventure continues: appreciate the extensive heritage of Andong Hahoe Folk Village.

Gongju
