A relatively new city, Miyoshi encompasses six surrounding rural districts into one.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Miyoshi: Kotohira-cho (Kotohira-gu & JR Kotohira Station). There's much more to do: snap pictures at Iya Kazura Bridge, admire the verdant scenery at Iyakei Valley, admire the sheer force of Biwa Waterfall, and stop by Kakashi no Sato.
