Roanoke is an independent city in the U.S. state of Virginia. Start off your visit on the 6th (Wed): see the interesting displays at Virginia Museum of Transportation, then sample some tasty brews at a beer tour and tasting, then see the interesting displays at O. Winston Link Museum, and finally stop by Chocolatepaper. Here are some ideas for day two: browse for treasures at Black Dog Salvage, then don't miss a visit to Center in the Square, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. John's Episcopal Church, and finally walk around Mill Mountain Star & Park.

Get out of town with these interesting Richmond side-trips: Williamsburg (Colonial Williamsburg, Veterans Park, &more), Boat Tours & Water Sports (in Yorktown) and Skin+Touch Therapy (in Fredericksburg).
