Tomar, also known in English as Thomar, is a city and a municipality in Santarém District in Portugal. Appreciate the collections at Casa-Estudio Carlos Relvas and O Milagre de Fatima - Museu Interativo. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Convent of Christ and Castelo de Tomar. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Tomar: Monastery of Alcobaca (in Alcobaca), Fatima (Shrine of our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima & Basilica da Santissima Trindade) and Batalha (Batalha Monastery & Centro de BTT - Pia do Urso). Angra do Heroísmo, generally known as Angra, is a municipality and city on the island of Terceira in the Portuguese autonomous region of the Azores. Get a sense of the local culture at Monte Brasil and Olaria de S. Bento. We've included these beaches for you: Escaleiras Beach and Vitoria Beach. Step out of Angra do Heroismo with an excursion to Lagoa do Junco in Praia da Vitoria--about 44 minutes away. There's lots more to do: learn more about the world around you at Serra de Santa Barbara Interpretation Centre, get interesting insight from Tours, stroll through Baias da Agualva, and explore the striking landscape at Ponta dos Biscoitos.
