Stresa is a town and comune of about 5,000 residents on the shores of Lake Maggiore in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, about 90km northwest of Milan. Your inner history buff will appreciate Palazzo Borromeo and Il Centro Storico di Arona. Get some cultural insight at Chiesa di San Vittore and Chiesa Santi Ambrogio e Theodolo. Venture out of the city with trips to Cascate Della Froda (in Porto Valtravaglia), Rocca di Calde (in Castelveccana) and Cascate di Cittiglio (in Cittiglio).
