One of Poland's oldest cities, Krakow sits at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, its historical town center nestled on the left bank of the Vistula River.
Get out of town with these interesting Krakow side-trips: Katowice (Monument to the Scouts of September & Church of St. Michael the Archangel) and Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau (in Oswiecim). Pearl of the Black Sea

Though most famous for the Potemkin Steps leading down the Black Sea coast, Odessa welcomes visitors with several other attractions, including beaches and an ornate opera house.
