Papeete, French Polynesia to Tokyo is an approximately 14- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight, bus, and train. Traveling from Papeete to Tokyo, you'll lose 19 hours due to the time zone difference. In May, Tokyo is a bit cooler than Papeete - with highs of 28°C and lows of 19°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Tue) early enough to catch the train to Nagoya.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Bring the kids along to Universal Studios Japan and Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. Change things up with a short trip to Osaka Shiritsu Toyo Toji Museum in Osaka (about 50 minutes away). There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, take in the spiritual surroundings of Sanjusangendo Temple, make a trip to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle.

Traveling from Hiroshima in June, expect Motobu-cho to be a bit warmer, temps between 34°C and 29°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Mon) so you can travel to Kanazawa.
