Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Sat): stroll through Momijidani Park and then take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Misen. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Itsukushima Shrine Torii, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Daishoin Temple, then look for gifts at Itsukushima Gekijyo, and finally go for a walk through Kintaikyo Bridge.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Hatsukaichi is an approximately 13-hour combination of train and flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of bus, flight, and train. The time zone difference when traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Hatsukaichi is 1 hour. In November, Hatsukaichi is much colder than Kuala Lumpur - with highs of 20°C and lows of 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Sun) to allow time to travel to Shari-cho.

Tourism in Shari-cho, a small town situated on Hokkaido's eastern tip, flourishes mainly because of its immediate proximity to the Shiretoko World Heritage Site.
Kick off your visit on the 25th (Mon): take a memorable drive along Shiretoko Highway, then explore the activities along Shiretoko Goko Lake, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Kamuiwakka Hot Waterfall. On the 26th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the waterfront views at Shiretoko Beach and then make a trip to Shiretoko Misaki.

Do a combination of train, flight, and taxi from Hatsukaichi to Shari-cho in 7.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or do a combination of car and ferry. Prepare for a bit cooler weather when traveling from Hatsukaichi in November: high temperatures in Shari-cho hover around 7°C and lows are around 1°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 26th (Tue) so you can travel to Yakushima-cho.

A popular destination for Japanese tourists, Kumage-gun Yakushima-cho is a true paradise for nature lovers, with over 1,900 species and subspecies of plants.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Oko no Taki Fall and Wilson Stump. Spend the 29th (Fri) exploring nature at Yakusugi Land. There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Taikoiwa and take in breathtaking views at Shiratani Unsuikyo Valley.

Traveling by combination of taxi and flight from Shari-cho to Yakushima-cho takes 9 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train, flight, and taxi; or do a combination of car, flight, and taxi. Traveling from Shari-cho in November, expect Yakushima-cho to be much hotter, temps between 24°C and 18°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Fri) early enough to travel to Takachiho-cho.

The mountain town of Takachiho-cho remains a place of great importance to Japan's spiritual and natural heritage, and the point where these two things intersect.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Daikanbo and Amano Iwato Shrine. Step out of Takachiho-cho to go to Minamiaso-mura and see Shirakawa Springs, which is approximately 48 minutes away. There's lots more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Takachiho Shrine, go for a walk through Amanoyasu Kawara, get impressive views of Mt. Aso, and admire the sheer force of Manai Falls.

Getting from Yakushima-cho to Takachiho-cho by combination of taxi, flight, and train takes about 7.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of taxi, flight, and bus. In November, Takachiho-cho is a bit cooler than Yakushima-cho - with highs of 19°C and lows of 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Mon) to allow enough time to travel to Ishigaki.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Nishi Pier and Kabira Park.
