Visit Senso-ji Temple and Choanji Temple for their historical value. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Ginza and Art Jeunesse Akihabara. Get out of town with these interesting Tokyo side-trips: Hakone-machi (The Hakone Open-Air Museum & Hakone Museum of Photography). A gateway to the volcano, Fujiyoshida sits in the shadow of a giant, and everything across the city seemingly points toward the iconic symbol of national pride, Mount Fuji.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Mount Fuji and Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center. Get some historical perspective at Omuro Sengen Shrine (Shimosengen) and Arayayama Shrine Okumiya. Venture out of the city with trips to Mt.Momokura (in Otsuki) and Chateau Mercian Winery Museum (in Koshu).
