Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Mt. Takao and Odaiba Kaihin Koen (Odaiba Seaside Park). Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Odaiba District and Akihabara. There's more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple and learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Ueno Zoo.

Many visitors take a trip to Nozawaonsen-mura, a picturesque hot spring village in Nagano Prefecture, to get away from it all.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Zenko-ji Temple and Togakushi Jinja Hokosha. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Hakuba Happoone Ski Resort and Nozawaonsen Sotoyu Nakao Hot Spring. Venture out of the city with trips to Zenkoji Sesonin Shakado Temple (in Nagano), Hakuba-mura (Hakuba Ohashi Bridge & Hakuba Snow Sports School) and Yamanouchi-machi (Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park, Okushiga Kogen Ski Area, &more). Play all day on the 8th (Sat) at Myoko Kogen. There's lots more to do: hit the slopes at Hakuba Cortina Ski Resort, make a trip to Ogama, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kenmeiji Temple, and head outdoors with Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort.

On the 12th (Wed), explore the activities along Kamogawa River, then stop by Fuuka-Kimono, then step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, and finally take some stellar pictures from Mt. Kurama.

Start off your visit on the 13th (Thu): enjoy breathtaking views from Kobe City Hall (Observation Deck), take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Maya, and then take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Rokko.
