Miyakojima

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.

Formed by the gradual merging of several old fishing villages, today the island town of Motobu-cho boasts paradisal beaches of white sand, clear waters, and a rich array of wildlife.
On the 1st (Mon), don't miss a visit to Kouri Ohashi, then don't miss a visit to Bise no Fukugi Tree Road, then meet the residents at Okichan Theater, and finally walk around Okinawa Memorial Park Ocean Expo Park. You can do a combination of flight and bus from Miyakojima to Motobu-cho in 4.5 hours. Traveling from Miyakojima in May, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be a bit cooler in Motobu-cho, with lows of 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Tue) so you can travel to Yakushima-cho.

Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Sun) so you can take a train to Kyoto.
