Known for its idyllic location on the shores of Lake Como and at the foot of the Alps, Como is one of northern Italy's most popular tourist destinations.
Get some cultural insight at Villa Carlotta and i Giardini di Villa Melzi. Visit Spiaggia Tranquilla and Riva Bianca Beach for some beach relaxation. When in Como, make a side trip to see Palazzo Borromeo in Isola Bella, approximately 1h 15 min away. On the 2nd (Tue), take a memorable drive along Gornergrat, fly down the slopes at Matterhorn Ski Paradise, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Intercontinental Church Society, then pause for some serene contemplation at English Church, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Kapelle Winkelmatten "Zur Heiligen Familie", and finally see the interesting displays at Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis. On the next day, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kapelle Schwarzsee "Maria zum Schnee", take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at The Matterhorn, make a trip to Kapelle Riffelberg "Bruder Klaus", then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kapelle Gornergrat "Bernhard von Aosta", and finally take in panoramic vistas at Sunnegga.
