You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Step off the beaten path and head to 3d Gallery Budapest and Faust Wine Cellar. Relax by the water at Roman Beach and Priest's Island (Pap-sziget). Get out of town with these interesting Budapest side-trips: Nemzeti Botanikus Kert (in Vacratot), Fenyes Education Trail of Tata (in Tata) and Alcsut Arboretum (in Alcsutdoboz). There's lots more to do: boost your wellbeing at a local thermal spa, don't miss a visit to Fisherman's Bastion, look for all kinds of wild species at Sas Hill Nature Reserve, and wander the streets of Vaci Street.

Nestled between the Matra and Bukk Mountains in northern Hungary, Eger represents a mixture of historical discovery and relaxing pleasures.

Szeged is the third largest city of Hungary, the largest city and regional centre of the Southern Great Plain and the county seat of Csongrád county. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Koros Torok Sandy Beach and Buffalo Reservation. Get out of town with these interesting Szeged side-trips: Lombkorona setany (in Mako) and Beach (in Tiszakecske). There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Votive Church, pause for some photo ops at Gate of Heroes, admire the landmark architecture of University of Szeged, and don't miss a visit to Domotor Tower.

Start off your visit on the 13th (Mon): learn about winemaking at Csabi Miklos' Cellar, do a tasting at Geszler Family Winery, and then look for all kinds of wild species at Bokod Floating Village.
