In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Duomo di Milano and Castello di Vezio. For shopping fun, head to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II or Profumeria Bellagio. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Milan: Cathedral of Como (in Como), Villa del Balbianello (in Tremezzina) and Turati Centro Nautico Lario (in Argegno). Next up on the itinerary: kick back and relax at Lido di Menaggio, steep yourself in history at Il Cenacolo, see the interesting displays at Tour delle Merlate - Castello Sforzesco, and don't miss a visit to Piazza del Duomo.
