A gateway to the volcano, Fujiyoshida sits in the shadow of a giant, and everything across the city seemingly points toward the iconic symbol of national pride, Mount Fuji.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Mount Fuji and Fujiyama Museum. Get some historical perspective at Omuro Sengen Shrine (Shimosengen) and Arayayama Shrine Okumiya. Venture out of the city with trips to Mt.Momokura (in Otsuki), Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center (in Tsuru) and Chateau Mercian Winery Museum (in Koshu). There's much more to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Traveling from Tokyo in October, expect nights in Fujiyoshida to be about the same, around 17°C, while days are slightly colder, around 19°C. A city lying on Tokyo Bay, Urayasu used to stand separate from the giant metropolis next door, but now, even though it belongs to another prefecture, it seems part of the capital.
Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Sat): make an unforgettable trip to Tokyo Disneyland. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 24th (Sun): admire the masterpieces at Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art, contemplate the long history of Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple, then stop by Bon Voyage, and finally discover the magic at Tokyo DisneySea.

You can drive from Fujiyoshida to Urayasu in 2 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. When traveling from Fujiyoshida in October, plan for somewhat warmer days in Urayasu, with highs around 24°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Mitaka.

Mitaka

Mitaka is a city located in the western portion of Tokyo Metropolis, in the central Kantō region of Japan., the city had an estimated population of 189,168 and a population density of 11,520 persons per km². Your inner history buff will appreciate Sojiji and Ryūgen-ji Temple. Appreciate the collections at Ghibli Museum Mitaka and National Hansen's Disease Museum. Next up on the itinerary: see the interesting displays at Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, admire the masterpieces at Kahenomori Art Museum, look for all kinds of wild species at Kiyose Sunflower Farm, and contemplate the long history of Jindai-ji Temple.

Getting from Urayasu to Mitaka by car takes about an hour. Other options: take a train; or do a combination of subway and train. In October in Mitaka, expect temperatures between 25°C during the day and 20°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Wed) early enough to travel to Osaka.
