Kick off your visit on the 20th (Fri): steep yourself in history at Bolivar Square, take in the awesome beauty at Monserrate, and then examine the collection at Gold Museum (Museo del Oro). On the 21st (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: grab your bike and head to Ciclovia de Bogota, then explore the world behind art at Museo Botero del Banco de la Republica, then take in the spiritual surroundings of La Catedral Primada, and finally stop by Vitrina Guayca.

Vancouver, Canada to Bogota is an approximately 14- hour flight. You can also do a combination of shuttle and flight; or do a combination of flight and bus. Leticia represents a large urban area and one of the best places from which to commence exploring areas along the Amazon.
Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Sun): look for all kinds of wild species at Parque Ecologico Mundo Amazonico, then identify plant and animal life at Reserva Natural Tanimboca, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catedral de Nuestra Senora de La Paz. Here are some ideas for day two: identify plant and animal life at Isla de Los Micos and then look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas.

San Gil

Providing some of the region's best opportunities for paragliding, rappelling, white-water rafting, kayaking, hiking, and caving, San Gil appeals to adventure seekers and nature lovers wishing to escape overcrowded Bogota, located several hours' drive to the south.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Parque Nacional de Chicamocha and Parapente Fenixtreme. Escape the urban bustle at Bungee Extremo San Gil and River Rafting & Tubing. When in San Gil, make a side trip to see Iglesia Nuestra Senora de Chiquinquira El Socorro in Socorro, approximately Socorro away. Next up on the itinerary: fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour.
