Go for a jaunt from Punta del Este to Pan de Azucar to see Pan De Azucar about 40 minutes away. Relax on the remote, undeveloped beaches in Rocha, an eastern province of Uruguay noted for its sleepy beachfront towns and pristine nature.
Get outdoors at Santa Teresa National Park and Grutas de Salamanca. Fortress of Santa Teresa and Bodega Garzon are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Step out of Rocha to go to La Pedrera and see La Pedrera, which is approximately 32 minutes away. There's more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Beaches at Cabo Polonio and tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa de Punta del Diablo.

Formerly a sleepy little fishing town, Punta del Diablo has become a popular seaside getaway with a wealth of attractions natural and manmade.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Thu): take in the views from Puente Colgante, then stroll through Playa de la Viuda, then enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Grande, and finally visit a coastal fixture at Lighthouse of Cabo Polonio.
